Southern Arizona NECA was initially chartered in 1968 as the Saguaro Chapter NECA. The Chapter name changed in 2009 to Southern Arizona NECA, in keeping with the national trend of NECA chapters identifying themselves with the regions they represented. The Southern Arizona NECA jurisdiction includes IBEW Locals 570, which consists of all of Southern Arizona from the CA to the NM borders, south to Mexico and north to Maricopa County. It also includes the IBEW 518, which is the east central portion of Arizona known as the White Mountains.

We exude a high standard of ethics through The Code of Excellence Program and Drug Free Workplace Programs, in addition to other cooperative, promotional, and information-sharing practices, such as the Local Labor Management Cooperation Committee (LLMCC). Trustees from both NECA and the IBEW oversee the Health & Welfare and Pension/Annuity Trusts Funds to ensure fair and equitable fund management and decision-making on behalf of the workforce and union membership, as well as the contractor members.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Southern Arizona NECA, along with the IBEW strives to stay ahead of the industry curve. Members of the Board of Directors and the Executive Director travel to conferences and conventions throughout the year to gather information, share ideas, and bring valuable insights back to our contractor members and the IBEW. The Chapter oversees the receipt and processing of monthly Contractor Reports and the administration of funds. The Chapter staff works directly with signatory contractors and their designated office personnel to address questions and concerns in the reporting process, in relation to the Drug Free Workplace Programs and the affiliated Employee Assistance Programs, as well as the local apprenticeship programs and the administration of the local agreements. NECA and the IBEW sponsor community events and fundraisers, as well as supporting local non-profit organizations in both funding and volunteer functions.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1524488313099{margin-top: 50px !important;padding-right: 10% !important;padding-left: 10% !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1524488282027{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text]Southern Arizona NECA distributes information regarding educational and training opportunities for both contractor and supervisory-level staff, as well as required government or safety certifications for the workforce.
